In the morning I got in a problem. last night I went for sleep and left my computer in sleep mode. At morning I woke up and my computer was ON; Sometimes it wakeup automatically from sleep and run updates by itself.
Anyway, when I turned on my monitor and it was a black screen and written there that the boot drive wasn’t found. I checked all of the cables to make sure that all of them are plugged properly. Moreover, I looked in BIOS where I found the confusion.
In BIOS, my Solid State Drive was not recognized with my SD 750 GB drive. My primary drive is SSD with Windows 7 64 bit installed in it. First my SSD drive was hanging and the problem is when I go to boot options, my SSD is not recognized.
Go for the following steps to boot properly from the SSD drive.
- Check the mobo settings.
- If the setting is set to AHCI, reset it to mobo default of IDE.
- Switching modes may also stop your computer from booting.
- Check the setting of sleep mode in BIOS.
- Also try to disable any setting related to sleep mode.
- Try to update your mobo BIOS.
- Look online the solution to Update the BIOS without booting the Windows.
